DRIVE YOU HOME IN MY ONE EYED FORD

Yep, nobody's paying attention anymore.

Jim Pepper - Newly-Weds Song.mp3

I remember this record being around when my dad was dating a Native American lady. I don't remember her having a turntable or ever putting this on though. She had shitty taste anyway.

AN ALMOST TOTALLY ORPHANED RECORDING

MICHAEL YONKERS

A few years ago, this man's drone-psych record, Microminiature Love was reissued by Destijl Records. It was subsequently picked up by Sub Pop and is easily findable on CD.

Not so easy to find is his country record. I only recently discovered its existence. There's a brief blurb on his outdated and crappy offical web site about this record and two others being available from the guy who runs Destijl, but he's probably selling expensive original copies.

This is my favorite song from Michael Lee Yonkers (see how easy it is to go country... just toss Lee into your professional name.)

SUNDAY YOUTUBE

Freddie and The Dreamers: just one of the many arguments for a) why the Beatles ruined music and b) why punk rock needed to happen. As far as I know, Freddie stopped doing this dance (cleverly called "The Freddie") soon after this single, but the backup dancers are still doing it in this clip:
